Due to the Junior Outing on March 6th - the regularly scheduled meeting has been canceled. On Thursday, March 6th, the Juniors have a field trip organized by the service unit - Tubing at Afton Alps. This is organized separately from our troop, but we have the information if you need to know more (just let one of the leaders know). This is only for Junior scouts. Sign up sheets for the cookie booth sales were available at the last meeting. If you still need to sign up for a date/time and/or would like to sign up for more - please contact Jessica at jessi-cat@dragondreaming.com There have been two reported cases of head lice amongst the families of Troop 50017 - please check your child(ren) out immediately for signs. On Sunday, March 16th there will be an informational meeting regarding Bronze/Silver/Gold Awards from 5:30-6:30 (hopefully at the church - place to be determined). This meeting will clarify any questions parent's/girls may have about the awards. This is NOT a regular meeting, but and informational/interest meeting for Juniors/Cadettes/Seniors who are thinking about or have started the Bronze/Silver/Gold Award. Happy New Year to Everyone! We hope this email finds all of our awesome Girl Scout Families enjoying their holiday break! Our Field Trip for January is going to be an indoor rock climbing session scheduled for Sunday, January 27th commencing at 11 AM and ending sometime around the one o'clock hour. Cost is $18.00 per climber which does include equipment rental. At this time, the troop is able to pick up $8.00 per climber, leaving the fee at $10 per climber. If the $10 fee per climber is a hardship for your family at this time, please contact Amber immediately so grant forms can be filled out. We will need to know who is going no later than the January 10th meeting as we must put down a deposit (you are of course welcome to email responses regarding attendance to Rob, Amber or Jessica at any time). We will NOT be carpooling to the event. For those who use mapquest or other online mapping sites, the address of Vertical Endeavors is 845 Phalen Blvd. in St. Paul 55106. Lastly, in addition to the permission slips required for all events, Vertical Endeavors requires a waiver form to be filled out for each person who is planning to climb. For everyone's convenience, I have attached a link to that PDF so you can peruse it at your leisure. Feel free to print them, fill them out and bring them to the January 10th meeting. Rob will have a few hard copies on hand. Yes, you must fill out one for EACH climber. Vertical Endeavors waiver If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Rob, Amber or Jessica. We look forward to seeing everyone at the cookie meeting on January 10th. Happy New Year to All!!!
